Flake Epoxy Flooring Installation for Industrial Facility

Peckham Coatings was selected to install a decorative flake epoxy flooring system for a commercial facility seeking a clean, durable, and visually appealing upgrade. The project covered office corridors, restrooms, and break areas where aesthetics, slip resistance, and long-term performance were top priorities.

Surface preparation included mechanical diamond grinding to remove contaminants and ensure strong adhesion to the concrete substrate. A pigmented epoxy basecoat was applied, followed by a full broadcast of decorative vinyl flakes to achieve a uniform, textured appearance. The floor was sealed with a UV-stable polyaspartic topcoat, providing excellent gloss retention, abrasion resistance, and ease of maintenance.

The selected flake blend was custom-matched to the facility’s interior design, creating a polished, professional look while improving safety and durability in high-traffic areas. The client was extremely satisfied with the transformation, noting the enhanced brightness, easy cleanability, and modern appearance of the finished floors.
