Hygienic Wall and Ceiling Coatings for Cheese Processing Plant
Peckham Coatings was selected to install a high-performance hygienic coating system at a cheese processing facility in Idaho, working under a tight 72-hour shutdown window. The project involved coating both walls and ceilings across a range of surfaces—including CMU, structural steel, quarry tile, and vitrified tile—with a seamless transition between surfaces.
We installed the Bio-Lastic ceiling system in conjunction with the Stranlok wall coating, delivering a fully integrated, sanitary envelope ideal for food production. The system was designed for durability, cleanability, and chemical resistance, and featured a smooth, seamless transition from ceiling to wall to meet stringent hygiene standards.
Due to the fast-paced schedule and the need to keep portions of the facility operational during installation, we ran multiple crews around the clock for the duration of the project. The presence of extensive overhead piping added complexity, but our team navigated tight spaces with precision and safety.
The project was completed on time, with zero disruption to production and a finished system that offers long-term performance in a demanding food-grade environment.
