COMMERCIAL EPOXY CONTRACTOR

Commercial Epoxy Contractor — Western U.S.

Spec-driven commercial epoxy flooring for GCs, plant engineers, and facility managers. 25 years of industrial coatings work across aerospace, food & beverage, dairy, schools, and wastewater. USDA-compliant systems. ISNetworld and Avetta verified.

WHAT COMMERCIAL EPOXY IS

Built for facilities, not garages

Commercial epoxy is a multi-layer, professionally installed flooring system rated for industrial loads, chemical exposure, and continuous service. It is not a roll-on garage kit. A commercial system starts with diamond-ground or shot-blasted concrete profiled to CSP-3 or higher, an epoxy or moisture-mitigation primer matched to the slab's vapor transmission, a high-build basecoat (often with a broadcast aggregate for slip and impact resistance), and a chemical-resistant urethane or novolac topcoat.

The system is specified to the actual service conditions — forklift loads, thermal cycling, washdown chemistries, drain configuration, and shutdown window — not selected from a brochure. That spec-first approach is why a properly installed commercial epoxy floor lasts 10–25 years before recoat, while consumer-grade coatings fail in 12–24 months under industrial use.

Peckham Coatings installs commercial epoxy systems from 20 mils up to 1/4-inch urethane cement mortar, including USDA/FDA-compliant systems for food contact zones, ESD-controlled floors for electronics and aerospace, and immersion-grade linings for wastewater containment.

OUR COMMERCIAL PROJECT PROCESS

How a Peckham install runs

  1. 1. Spec Walk & Assessment

On-site visit with the GC, plant engineer, or facility manager. We document chemistry, traffic loads, washdown protocol, shutdown window, and any existing failures before recommending a system.

  2. 2. Surface Prep

Diamond grinding or shot blasting to CSP-3 or higher. Crack repair, joint detailing, and full containment so production lines stay clean.

  3. 3. Moisture Mitigation

Every slab gets a calcium chloride or RH probe test. If MVT exceeds the system's tolerance, we install a vapor mitigation primer rated to 25 lb / 100% RH.

  4. 4. System Build

Primer, high-build basecoat, broadcast aggregate (if specified), and chemical-resistant top coat installed to manufacturer thickness with wet-mil checks.

  5. 5. QA, Warranty & Care

Holiday testing on chemical-resistant systems, DCOF testing on slip-rated finishes, written warranty, and a maintenance plan with cleaning chemistries and recoat schedule.
