Durable Flooring and Wall Coatings for School Bathroom

Peckham Coatings was contracted to upgrade the restroom floors at a California K–12 school, addressing outdated and worn tile surfaces in both the boys’ and girls’ bathrooms. The goal was to provide a durable, easy-to-clean, and slip-resistant flooring system suitable for high-use areas.
Our team prepped the existing tiled surface using mechanical diamond grinding to ensure proper adhesion. All grout lines were patched with epoxy, and any loose tiles were removed and repaired to restore a solid, uniform base. We then installed a urethane cement underlayment for strength and moisture mitigation, followed by a full decorative flake broadcast, a clear epoxy coat, and a final urethane topcoat for long-lasting durability and chemical resistance.

The result is a seamless, non-slip floor that stands up to daily wear while dramatically improving the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the school’s restroom facilities.
